Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
- Administer medications and treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests and formulating plans of care.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of quality nursing care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring patients, ensuring a smooth transition of care.
- Participate in unit-based councils and hospital committees, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Ability to practice nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association (2016).
- Experience in hospital settings, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, and computer skills.
- Spanish proficiency is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service, adhering to the DHR Health C.A.R.E.S program.
This role requires flexibility in schedule to meet unit needs and weekend/holiday requirements. The successful candidate will be required to pass competencies for this position.
