As a mechanical engineer at SpaceX, your primary focus will be on providing engineering support for Starlink program maintenance. Your role involves troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment failures, collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations, and working closely with maintenance technicians to optimize equipment performance.


Responsibilities:
  • Leverage technical expertise to lead maintenance technicians in resolving technically complex equipment failures.
  • Implement predictive tools like vibration analysis and cycle monitoring to integrate proactive Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to scope and execute repairs, overhauls, and equipment upgrade projects.
  • Create, modify, and update preventative maintenance instructions to eliminate recurring failures or low-value tasks.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant industry.
  • Experience working with MRP, ERP, and CMMS systems.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. This figure takes into account the company's location in Redmond and the specific responsibilities associated with this role.
