Security Operations Specialist

The Security Operations Specialist collaborates closely with the Security Team to uphold all safety protocols and hotel regulations, ensuring the well-being, comfort, and security of all guests, patrons, and staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
Safeguard The Peninsula property as well as the belongings of all guests, patrons, and employees. Act as Deputy Fire Safety Director, maintaining physical and mental readiness for emergency situations. Represent The Peninsula brand, its guests, and employees in a professional and positive manner. Deliver courteous, tactful, and consistently pleasant service to all guests. Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, both inside and outside. Oversee security surveillance systems to ensure all areas of the hotel are secure and in optimal condition. Document all security-related incidents in the logbook for the benefit of security personnel and management. Address all guest and internal customer concerns and inquiries with courtesy and efficiency, ensuring satisfactory resolution. Adhere to the hotel's policies and procedures regarding key issuance at all times. Inquire politely about any suspicious individuals; deny entry if they cannot provide reasonable explanations; seek assistance immediately if necessary.General Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience in a luxury hotel setting; a university degree is advantageous. Comprehensive understanding of security industry best practices across relevant operations (loss prevention, conflict resolution, access control, etc.). Possession of a New York State Security Guard License and completion of Security Guard Act training. Valid certification of fitness for Fire and Life Safety Director license is required. Preferred certifications in Safety, First Aid, AED, and CPR. Ability to effectively influence and communicate with guests and team members. Self-motivated, independent, with strong presentation and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented, organized, results-driven, and articulate.Benefits Offered:
