Position Overview
The Caf Kitchen Associate plays a crucial role in our kitchen operations, focusing on food preparation and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This position is essential for ensuring that our kitchen is well-stocked and organized, contributing to the overall success of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of in-house pastries.
  • Set up cooking stations and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food according to chef specifications and established recipes.
  • Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients accurately.
  • Cook menu items using various techniques such as grilling, frying, and sautéing, adhering to quality standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all back-of-house areas.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role within a full-service restaurant.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and preparing ingredients.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to industry changes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.

Work Environment
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Team members must be able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring a high standard of food quality and safety.
