Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the USDA Child Nutrition Programs operations to ensure district compliance with established state and federal guidelines.
  • Prepare and interpret reports to convey and implement information, and comply with federal and state requirements.
  • Develop and execute policies, procedures, and actions to provide direction for meeting district goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and monitor expenditures, site inventories, and related financial activities to ensure accurate allocations, revenues, and expenses.
  • Establish and lead efficient teams in assigned locations to encourage growth and professional development.
  • Advocate for federal and local child nutrition programs, foodservice operations, and special events through technology, social media, media releases, interviews, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with the Nutrition Coordinator in menu planning activities and developing school-based and vendor menus and recipes.
  • Evaluate quality, presentation, consistency, and accuracy of meal production and service, utilizing technology and professional data for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of various summer feeding programs and events, including federal and state applications, menus, personnel selection, assignments, training, daily record keeping, special equipment, and claim for reimbursement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in the job-related area, or associate's degree, and 5 years of job-related experience.
  • SERV-Safe Certification, School Nutrition Certification Level III, and all certifications required within 90 days of employment.
  • Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Clearances:
  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
  • Tuberculosis Skin Test.
  • Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability.
Public Health Compliance:
  • Must follow safety and health protocols.
