Payroll Specialist Job Description

SNI Companies is partnering with a leading manufacturing and distribution company in Central New Jersey to find a skilled Payroll Specialist. This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, managing employee data, and generating reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for over 1000 employees, including exempt and non-exempt staff.
  • Collect and enter timesheet and payroll data into Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Calculate and run reports on wages, overtime, bonuses, tax deductions, and other relevant data.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports as needed.
  • Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
  • Experience working with Ceridian Dayforce is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
