**Job Summary**

BWX Technologies is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to lead our machining operations team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising hourly skilled trades in the areas of machining, working with technical support groups to execute fabrication workscopes, and resolving issues.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of hourly skilled trades in the machining department.
  • Work with technical support groups to execute fabrication workscopes and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the resolution of issues regarding machining and assembly based on experience and technical knowledge of both skilled trades.
  • Report out regularly on safety, quality, and production activities.
  • Address safety and quality issues that are presented during manufacturing and work with technical support groups to resolve and formalize corrective actions as needed.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a union environment.
  • Prefer experience in machining and assembly with a minimum of 2 years in a shop supervisor/lead role.
  • Motivated to help production team and seek out and resolve issues.
  • Must be available for scheduled overtime.
  • Experience with G&M Codes, MS Office, SharePoint, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and overhead cranes a plus.
