About the Role

Benesch is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Civil Engineer to join our Land Development Design team in Charlotte. As a Technical Manager, you will play a key role in the execution of projects and the development of technical talent within the North Carolina division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and direction in technical project elements, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of analyses and designs.
  • Communicate technical progress and issues to Project Managers, facilitating informed decision-making and proactive problem-solving.
  • Train and mentor staff, imparting technical knowledge and skills and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
  • Perform, review, and manage technical analyses and designs, ensuring completeness and compliance with quality standards.
  • Actively participate in professional organizations, enhancing personal expertise and contributing to industry advancement.
  • Assist with business development efforts and proposal development, leveraging technical expertise to secure new opportunities and drive company growth.
  • Identify opportunities for implementation of technical processes within the North Carolina division, standardizing work plans and enhancing efficiency and consistency in project execution.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on projects, providing specialized knowledge and insights to optimize project outcomes and deliver added value to clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Professional Engineering License in the state of North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated minimum of 12 years of experience in the site civil land development industry with proven expertise in developing project plans, obtaining permits, and observing construction activities.
  • Previous experience in AutoCAD civil 3D and various design software for land development projects.
  • Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling efficient decision-making and resolution of complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills to interface with stakeholders, fostering clear and transparent communication channels and promoting collaboration.
