GIS Director

Alamance County, NC is seeking a highly skilled GIS Director to lead our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our GIS infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and providing expert guidance on GIS-related projects.

• Manage and maintain GIS infrastructure, including data layers, maps, and applications.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through quality control and quality assurance processes.
• Provide expert guidance on GIS-related projects, including data collection, analysis, and visualization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data and applications into our business processes.
• Develop and implement GIS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in GIS and apply this knowledge to improve our GIS capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in GIS system design, programming, and/or mapping.
• Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Valid NC driver's license.

• Competitive salary range: $68,875 - $103,313.
