Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at our Fremont office. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed
  • Prepare patients for exams and treatments, ensuring they are comfortable and informed
  • Record patient medical history, medications, and vital statistics in medical records
  • Obtain consent forms and ensure proper documentation
  • Administer medications and perform venipunctures as directed by a physician
  • Explain treatment procedures and medications to patients, ensuring they understand their care plan
  • Assist physicians with exams and treatments, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to safety protocols
  • Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
  • Dispose of infectious waste and biohazard materials properly
  • Inventory and assess the need for instruments, supplies, and equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications
  • Detail-oriented and professional attitude
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic to intermediate computer operation
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical setting
  • Dermatology experience a plus
  • High level of emotional and professional maturity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Unquestionable work ethic and personal integrity
