Clinical Nutritionist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nutritionist to join our team at Loma Linda University Health. As a Clinical Nutritionist, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition education to patients and family members, mentoring diet technicians, and acting as a clinical preceptor and educator to dietetic students and other healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and family members
  • Mentor diet technicians and act as a clinical preceptor and educator to dietetic students
  • Provide in-services to clinical staff and serve as a nutrition knowledge base for interns, residents, and attending physicians
  • Work weekends and holidays as required
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics, including successful completion of clinical practicum experience
  • Current Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Broad knowledge base of clinical nutrition in an acute-care setting
  • Ability to work calmly and courteously under pressure, display a positive and professional demeanor to patients, visitors, and co-workers
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to competently read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to speak Spanish is highly desirable
