Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join their team in Waco, Texas.

About the Role

This role involves working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

  • Assist surgeons during operations by setting up equipment, preparing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Participate in pre-operative preparations, including patient clipping and aseptic cleaning of the operative site.
  • Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical counts, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A strong foundation in surgical technology, preferably with a degree from an accredited program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from a recognized institution or completion of formal training in ST from Military/Public Health Service.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. This amount may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
