Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong clinical background and a passion for improving patient outcomes. As a RN-Practice Specialist at Ascension, you will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based practice guidelines, improving nursing quality indicators, and driving patient safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with clinical leaders to develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines that improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and professional development teams to identify gaps in nursing practice and develop plans to improve skills and competencies.
  • Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting quality and patient safety data to drive improved care outcomes.
  • Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level.
  • Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • BSN and MSN preferred.
