Shift Details:

2-2-3 Rotation, 6:00am - 12:00pm

Position Summary:

The Line Technician operates various machines and manufacturing equipment within a production setting. This role is crucial in maintaining production machinery and components to achieve optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) rates for all products. Responsibilities include performing autonomous maintenance on necessary machines to ensure efficient operation and output. Equipment operated may include un-scramblers, fillers, case formers, case sealers, Hartness case packers, and palletizers/stretch wrappers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures within the plant.
  • Safely operate machinery to meet quality standards, scheduling, and customer requirements.
  • Verify that all quality standards are met, including the inspection of materials and components.
  • Participate in machine setup and changeover processes.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to line performance.
  • Assist with autonomous maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas of waste.
  • Utilize computer systems to operate company software and electronic systems.
  • Operate auxiliary and support equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities.
  • Able to interact positively with team members.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
