Position Summary:
The Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield, NE, is currently seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver resident-centered nursing care and assist with daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Understand and implement age-appropriate care based on individual care plans.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and utilize Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Assist residents with essential health care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support.
- Facilitate a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and ensuring hydration.
- Support nursing staff with procedures and document resident interactions and care outcomes.
- Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with housekeeping and laundry services.
- Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in long-term care is advantageous.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required, with the expectation to obtain certification within four months of employment if not already certified.
- Complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing education credits as required.
