Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield, NE. As a CNA, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
