Key Responsibilities- Provide activities of daily living assistance to residents as directed from their individualized care plans.
- Understand and comply with all resident rights and regulations.
- Work effectively with older adults of all abilities, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal services to residents, adapting to changing needs and requests.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and colleagues, maintaining a positive and professional environment.
- Document observations and changes in resident condition, ensuring accurate and timely communication with supervisors and other staff.
- Assist relatives, visitors, and guests as needed, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean and odor-free assisted living area, adhering to OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to resident needs and requests, promoting a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork and flexibility.
- Preferred but not required: current certification as a nursing assistant or completion of certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write simple correspondence; able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
