Job Title: Academic/Personnel Analyst

Join the team at the University of California, Irvine, as an Academic/Personnel Analyst in the Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic. This role is a key part of our team, responsible for providing guidance to supervisors and managers on academic and staff personnel issues.

Job Summary:

The Academic/Personnel Analyst will apply professional UC Academic HR concepts, organization, and system-wide policies and procedures to provide guidance to supervisors and managers to resolve a variety of academic and staff personnel issues of moderate scope and complexity. This role is responsible for departmental academic personnel administration and complex administrative analysis in all aspects of employment, retention, and separation of senate and non-senate academic and staff personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on academic and staff personnel issues
  • Apply professional UC Academic HR concepts, organization, and system-wide policies and procedures
  • Conduct analysis and develop recommendations to Directors/unit management
  • Provide on-going high-level analysis on academic and staff personnel and payroll matters
  • Responsible for departmental academic personnel administration and complex administrative analysis
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Knowledge of organization, college, and departmental formal and informal policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of unit academic culture and educational goals of discipline(s) served
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to apply/interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR
