Job Description

The Strategic Financial Director is a key leadership role at Children and Families First, responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations and ensuring effective management of financial risks, opportunities, and planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Management and Reporting
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team to drive business decisions and financial goals.
  • Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles and industry standards.
  • Ensure timely preparation of financial audits, working closely with external auditors and adhering to audit schedules and requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance against the budget and provide timely, accurate financial analysis and reports to the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Lead the management of corporate banking relationships and investments.
  • Manage the company's risk management framework and insurance programs to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee relations and benefits.
  1. Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead and develop a team consisting of finance, risk management, and facilities staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial management processes and team performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting; minimum five years full-charge bookkeeping experience; minimum five years supervisory experience of accounting and statistical personnel; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, vacation, sick, personal, and holiday pay, EAP, tuition assistance, and a 401(k) plan with matching.

This is a full-time position that requires strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
