Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Systems Engineering Team Lead to lead our System Application Engineers in their support of the construction sales team. The successful candidate will ensure that assigned projects are implemented profitably, accurately, on-time, within the scope of the contract, and in alignment with customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Led a team of System Application Engineers to ensure profitable and timely project implementation.
  • Provided coaching and daily guidance on performance of assigned System Application Engineers.
  • Functioned as a Systems Application Engineer where appropriate based on branch requirements and Account Executive assignments.
  • Performed all System Application Engineer duties for highly complex or strategic projects as assigned by Branch Management.
  • Maintained an effective balance between internal Johnson Controls processes, customer satisfaction, and project financial results.
  • Developed and built relationships between SAEs and their assigned Account Execs, contractors, customers, consultants, and vendors.
  • Ensured proper turnover to service team and coordinated with LSSs/PM on all joint projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of five or more years of progressively more responsible operations management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team successfully.
  • Possesses a high-level competence in written and verbal communication.
  • Able to travel based upon geographical locations of assigned teams.
  • Computer skills experience to include Microsoft Office suite, AutoCad, and basic Windows operating system environment.

What You Will Do

Under general direction, you will lead the System Application Engineers in their support of the construction sales team and function as a Systems Application Engineer where appropriate. You will ensure that assigned projects are implemented profitably, accurately, on-time, within the scope of the contract, and in alignment with customer expectations.

You will work closely with the sales team to maintain an effective balance between internal Johnson Controls processes, customer satisfaction, and project financial results. You will also develop and build relationships between SAEs and their assigned Account Execs, contractors, customers, consultants, and vendors.

Your responsibilities will include leading a team of System Application Engineers, providing coaching and daily guidance, functioning as a Systems Application Engineer, performing System Application Engineer duties for complex projects, maintaining a balance between internal processes and customer satisfaction, developing relationships, and ensuring proper turnover to the service team.
