Job Summary: The Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering department, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget. This role will be responsible for managing project schedules, team workload, monitoring and coaching performance, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards. Responsibilities: • Manage a team of engineers to ensure timely and high-quality production of work • Conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary actions when necessary • Collaborate and communicate with other departments and engineers to ensure compliance with industry and safety regulations • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes when designing and installing mechanical or electrical systems • Test and evaluate mechanical or electrical equipment to determine that it meets industry standards and performance requirements • Conduct research to identify the latest trends, technologies, and techniques that could improve mechanical or electrical systems or equipment • Prepare technical drawings and specifications of mechanical or electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements • Provide technical support to ensure proper installation and maintenance of mechanical or electrical systems • Foster a collaborative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required; Master's degree preferred • 8+ years of Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering experience required • Previous experience in an engineering leadership role in a manufacturing industry • Proficient knowledge in computer-aided design (CAD) software, programming languages, or other tools • Strong technical background and proficiency in relevant programming, languages, tools, and technologies • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and electrical manufacturing processes • Knowledge of safety and code regulations and requirements for electrical systems and equipment • Familiar with the industry's best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in the engineering field • Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace Skills and Abilities: • Ability to weigh the short- and long-term implications of alternate engineering solutions when making decisions • Collaborative work style and ability to work with clients and project managers • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening What We Offer: • Competitive Salary • Weekly pay • Direct Deposit • Unlimited PTO offered • Comprehensive Health/Dental/Vision Insurance that is affordable • Wellness Benefit - Discount membership through Crunch Fitness • Career Development • 9 paid holidays • 401k with an annual employer match of 3% • Employee Assistance Program • Annual boot allowance and a 15% discount at Carhartt • A fun, fast-paced culture with company events and professional growth opportunities Johnson Thermal Systems, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
