About the Role

Thompson Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Orange Beach, AL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, collaborating with engineers, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Prepare preliminary design studies, project planning, and related activities
  • Prepare project specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports
  • Coordinate with clients, project architects, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
  • Assist in construction administration and direct communications with clients and contractors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years' experience with civil engineering projects
  • PE required
  • Proven experience with planning, permitting, and design of land development or linear infrastructure projects
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and industry-accepted drainage design software
  • Ability to manage client expectations, project schedules, and budgets
  • Ability to mentor and train junior and entry-level engineers
