SportsCare Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at KidsCare West New York.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to patients, including administering manual exercises and instructing patients on proper techniques.
- Assess patient health by conducting physical examinations and reviewing therapy histories.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to promote patient health and well-being.
- Document patient care services and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in physical therapy or a related field preferred.
- Current certification as a physical therapist assistant (PTA) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
