Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Dynamic Transit Company. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of 250 trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and auxiliary power units (APUs)
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance
  • Collaborate with supervisors to review repair work orders and discuss work assignments
  • Communicate effectively with managers and drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
  • Work in a safe and professional manner, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of mechanic experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical education highly desired
  • ASE Certification preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the position, including lifting over 80 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
