Agricultural Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Agricultural Specialist to join our team in this dynamic role. As an Agricultural Specialist - Equipment Operator, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our agronomy products application services.

This role involves preparing and spreading custom applications of agronomy products on customers' fields. You will be responsible for operating equipment such as dry row spreaders, John Deere dry bodies, and Spreader Trucks, as well as performing general maintenance and repair work to keep equipment in good working condition.

• Prepare and apply custom applications of agronomy products to customers' fields using precision ag software and hardware
• Operate various types of equipment including dry row spreaders, John Deere dry bodies, and Spreader Trucks
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repair work to ensure equipment is in good working condition
• Assist with inventory control initiatives and may assist with shipping and/or receiving of fertilizers and crop protectants as needed
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and performance

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Previous experience applying fertilizer, crop protectants, and other treatment products, preferably in an agricultural environment
• Experience operating a forklift and familiarity with GPS equipment
• The ability to learn and effectively apply knowledge of applicator equipment operation, precision ag software and hardware, and troubleshooting techniques
• A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

This role requires continuous physical activity outdoors and may involve exposure to dust, odors, fumes, and hazardous chemicals associated with the application of dry and liquid fertilizers, crop protectants, and other treatment products.
