Position Overview:
This role is eligible for a 15% PRN differential in addition to the base pay rate.

We appreciate our outstanding Certified Nursing Assistants and are committed to ensuring they operate at the peak of their capabilities to optimize their skills and experience.

Additionally, we have established a career advancement framework for CNAs that outlines pathways for growth into nursing and other roles.

The Certified Nursing Assistants deliver both direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to established policies and procedures.


Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- A minimum of six months of prior CNA experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program is mandatory.
- A state-registered CNA license is required.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training is preferred; CPI training is necessary if managing M-1 holds.
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work (Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly).

The Orthopedic Unit at OrthoColorado Hospital features 42 beds designated for medical/surgical/telemetry care, along with six Progressive Care Unit (PCU) beds. Our patient volume is typically low on weekends and holidays, averaging between two to six patients, while weekdays see an average of 24-30 patients. We specialize in orthopedic surgery, focusing on joint replacements and spinal procedures. Our facility is exclusively dedicated to elective orthopedic surgeries and does not operate an Emergency Department or accept direct admissions at this time.
