Job Summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Specialist Supervisor to coordinate crisis prevention and intervention support services for Villa Maria School. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside and supervise Behavioral Specialist staff to ensure that competent staff are available to prevent and respond to crisis situations utilizing the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respect children's and family's rights by recognizing their dignity, encouraging participation in problem-solving, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to therapeutic standards, risk management policies, and procedures for client safety.
  • Contribute to performance improvement at individual, departmental, and agency levels.
  • Apply knowledge of treatment approaches suitable for clients' physical and developmental ages.
  • Attend required training and in-service courses, including CPR, TCI, Emergency Procedures, and Infection Control.
  • Effectively supervise, evaluate, and motivate staff.
  • Communicate effectively with people both internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health or a related field, with five years of experience working with emotionally disturbed children.
  • Prior experience as a Behavioral Specialist is preferred, along with TCI Certification.
  • Physical ability to intervene and restrain children in crisis situations, including running, lifting, and transporting.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
