About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Howmet Aerospace in Dover, New Jersey. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on facility and manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Senior Maintenance in maintaining plant mechanical and building equipment.
  • Install piping and mechanical equipment as directed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical failures or malfunctions, and acquire knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist in construction and/or repair of all plant equipment.
  • Keep records as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment in a mechanical role or related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including night and weekends, with little advanced notice.
What We Offer
  • New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: $33.57; After 12 Months: $36.15.
  • Hourly shift premium while assigned to an off-shift.
  • $2500 Sign on Bonus payable after 90 days of employment (for external candidates only).
