Job Title: General Manager

This leadership role oversees all aspects of marina operations, focusing on efficient management and effective budgeting. Key responsibilities include improving guest services, performance, efficiency, and profitability through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve financial results according to annual operating and capital budgets;
  • Owning the business, with a focus on financials and budget;
  • Supervising marina operations to ensure prompt, courteous, and safe service to customers;
  • Routinely inspecting property areas to maintain an above-average appearance and proper safety environment;
  • Understanding and complying with government regulations related to marina operations;
  • Maintaining professional relationships with agencies, contractors, vendors, and customers;
  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising employees and/or contract labor;
  • Ensuring customer and employee safety;
  • Maintaining local SOP and Instruction Manual in current order;
  • Responding to and resolving customer disputes;
  • Approving long-term dock leasing and waiting list, as well as retail leasing;
  • Monitoring actual versus projected budget figures and investigating negative deviations;
  • Approving purchases, invoices, and check requests;
  • Safeguarding assets, including equipment and inventory;
  • Securing all company and customer equipment each evening prior to lock up;
  • Maintaining marina equipment, property, grounds, and floating or fixed docks;
  • Establishing and enforcing vessel hauling and launching procedures;
  • Coordinating with direct reports to ensure efficient departmental running;
  • Overseeing marketing programs for the marina;
  • Deriving new revenue sources;
  • Leading weekly property Manager meetings;
  • Performing duties assigned by slip customers;
  • Responding to wind storms or other emergency events that could damage marina assets or guest property;
