We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our CDH Resource Team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including vital sign monitoring, blood glucose measurements, and intake/output recording.
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Report any abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain patient rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
- Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize and complete unit work efficiently.
- Serve as a liaison between patient care units and other departments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff using excellent telephone etiquette.
- Manage unit workflow in collaboration with the charge RN and/or assistant manager as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation, or Certified Nursing Assistant, or Certified Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician.
- CPR - Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull force up to 50 pounds.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Phlebotomy course.
