About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Leader to join our team as a Group Manager, Localities. This is a key role in our organization, responsible for leading the design and implementation of localities, partnering with various stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of locality plans, working closely with Te Aka Whai Ora and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IMPBs, health providers, and local government to ensure effective service delivery and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with communities and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to achieve their goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of locality plans and services, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in commissioning and community development, with a strong background in system and service design.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a focus on developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in health service funding and procurement, as well as provider oversight.
  • Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles, with the ability to apply them in a meaningful way.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
