{"Job Title": "Maintenance Mechanic II", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our facilities and real estate department, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance related to the facilities, equipment, and associated systems. This includes fire systems, tube systems, equipment repair, nurse call systems, infant abduction systems, life safety components, paging systems, medical gas systems, and locks and door repair.

Responsibilities:

* Performs repairs according to work orders or verbal instructions and compiles proper documentation following established policies and procedures.
* Works with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives in regards to the repair and replacement of equipment.
* Performs basic plumbing and electrical repairs and appliance repairs, including changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts, and installing light fixtures.
* Performs carpentry and minor construction projects, including installing and repairing drywall, walls, flooring, ceramic tile, cabinetry, countertops, shelving, and painting.
* Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including debris/trash removal, heavy lifting/moving of materials and equipment, floor-sweeping, and material storage.

Requirements:

* Two years' experience in maintenance and repair
* Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
* Physical requirements include constant standing and walking, frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs, and occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs

Work Environment:

* Day Shift (United States of America)
* Employee
* Facilities and Real Estate (STL Region)
* 40 hours per week
