Position Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and dependable Grounds Maintenance Specialist to ensure the pristine condition of our luxury community's outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a background in grounds maintenance and landscaping, thrive in a dynamic environment, and exhibit a meticulous attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the community grounds, including litter removal and debris management.
  • Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, and irrigation, along with trimming shrubs and bushes.
  • Engage in planting activities for flowers, trees, and other vegetation as required.
  • Maintain community gardens and flower beds to ensure their health and beauty.
  • Conduct minor repairs on outdoor furniture and equipment to keep them in good condition.
  • Manage snow and ice removal from pathways and entrances during winter conditions.
  • Support special events and projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with basic landscaping and gardening techniques.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating commercial landscaping machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers).
  • Knowledge of various plant and tree species.
  • Basic understanding of irrigation systems.
  • Certification in landscaping or horticulture is advantageous but not essential.

Work Environment:

  • Work will primarily take place outdoors in a fast-paced setting.
  • Must be adaptable to various weather conditions.
  • Physical endurance for bending, lifting, and standing for prolonged periods is required.
