Job Summary:
The Practical Nursing Specialist will be tasked with administering medications within the designated scope of practice and assisting with the fundamental care of patients. Specific patient care responsibilities will be assigned to ensure that specialized care protocols are adhered to during each shift.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient assessments
- Providing training and education to family members
- Administering prescribed treatments and therapies
- Facilitating communication with the multidisciplinary team
- Managing emergency situations
- Administering flu vaccinations (in specialty areas)
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State License for Practical Nurse
- Current registration to practice as an LPN in New York State
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- CPR certification
- Basic Life Support certification
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in basic data entry and retrieval systems
- Additional education may be required based on specialty areas or patient care locations
Salary: $55,000-$75,000
