In our modern service departments, the Customer Service Specialist serves as the crucial link between Service Technicians and clients. This role enables you to step away from the desk and engage actively in the service lane. AutoNation relies on you to convey the Service Technician's recommendations to customers in clear, understandable terms and to identify upsell opportunities that ensure the safety of their vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Achieve or surpass designated sales targets and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Welcome customers warmly upon their arrival.
  • Assess vehicle requirements based on customer information, vehicle inspections, and test drives.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to assist customers in planning necessary ongoing vehicle maintenance.
  • Create repair orders for customers, providing transparent cost and time estimates.
  • Maintain regular communication with technicians and parts associates to guarantee timely service completion.
  • Update customers on their vehicle's status according to their preferred communication method.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the service provided.
  • Acquire in-depth product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience to foster loyalty.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Proven track record of setting and achieving sales goals.
  • Prior sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to follow up with customers proactively.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with technology.
  • Valid in-state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
