About the Job

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures on assigned patients according to hospital policies and standards. This includes ensuring patient safety, operating medical imaging equipment, and maintaining quality control of equipment and devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic procedures on assigned patients in accordance with hospital policies and radiological standards.
  • Ensure patient safety by following proper protocols and using personal protective equipment when necessary.
  • Maintain quality control of equipment and devices, including regular calibration and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members and departments to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical imaging techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an associate's degree in Radiology or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of radiologic equipment, examinations, and procedures.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate complex medical imaging equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
