Job Description

As a Medical Rehabilitation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality treatment to patients in our inpatient setting. Your primary duties will include:

  • Evaluating patients based on departmental standards
  • Conducting and modifying evaluations to establish individualized goals for each patient
  • Treating patients with therapeutic exercises, physical agents, and manual techniques
  • Educating patients and families on home exercise programs and functional activities
  • Determining when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment and recommending discharge
  • Documenting patient information in accordance with insurance guidelines and department policies

To excel in this role, you must possess strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in using Windows-based programs is also essential. A current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy is mandatory, and access to reliable transportation is required for travel between work sites.
