The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant plays a crucial role in aiding patients to regain functionality, enhance mobility, alleviate discomfort, and prevent or minimize long-term physical impairments due to injuries or illnesses. This position involves a variety of tasks and moderately complex administrative and operational support duties. The role requires performing calculations and typically engages in semi-routine assignments.

The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant reviews patients' medical histories, assesses their physical capabilities, evaluates their potential responsiveness to therapy, and formulates treatment strategies. Decisions primarily revolve around interpreting departmental policies and methods for executing tasks. The assistant operates within established guidelines to clarify work expectations and quality benchmarks, allowing for some flexibility in prioritization and timing, while working under limited supervision. Adheres to standard practices that permit a degree of interpretation and independent judgment.

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License in Texas

Compensation Range

The salary range provided below reflects a good faith estimate of the starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications. $57,700 - $79,500 annually
