Position Overview

The Cath Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory, executing a variety of specialized tasks. This includes operating advanced radiographic fluoroscopic equipment to conduct both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Essential Qualifications
  • Certification from one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures within a cardiac and/or general catheterization laboratory.
  • Experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving for at least one year.
  • Proficiency in X-ray operations, monitoring, and scrubbing techniques.
Work Schedule

Shift Details: Monday to Friday; 8-hour shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

On-Call Requirements: $4.00/hour while on call, with a minimum of 8 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience, with additional benefits such as sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, and housing allowances.

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Technologist collaborates with physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to ensure a patient-friendly environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in call rotations and adhering to flexible shift schedules.
  • Ensuring compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Maintaining a positive, cooperative, and professional demeanor while working as part of a team.

Minimum Requirements
  • Certification as outlined above.
  • BLS certification on the first day or assigned by the Learning Center.
  • ACLS certification within three months of hire.
