Key Responsibilities
  • Perform front office duties to support the medical clerks, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients through multiple front end systems and processes.
  • Utilize the CHIP system to schedule patients timely and appropriately based on chief complaint and/or clinic protocol.
  • Collaborate with members of the clinical care team to improve access and continuously improve and simplify clinic processes.
  • Perform administrative and medical support functions, many of which are confidential in nature.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assistant program resulting in Certification.
  • One (1) year experience in medical front office procedures, including customer service, insurance verification, and electronic scheduling.
  • Experience working with underserved and vulnerable populations and familiarity with mental health, substance abuse problems, and medical terminology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in a medical office setting as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Mental Health experience preferred.
