Medical Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Insight is seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Assistant to work in conjunction with staff and physicians to support the delivery of exceptional patient care. The Medical Assistant will take vital signs, assist the provider with patient interviews and care processes, treatments, and transport of patients, as directed by the physician. This role requires a strong ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Screen patients, perform and record vital signs, and maintain medical records and patient confidentiality
- Perform data entry through the Electronic Medical Record system and assist with administrative tasks
- Disinfect and clean rooms after each patient and explain treatment to patients as needed
- Assist physicians during exams and answer phone calls in a friendly manner
- Provide excellent customer service and interact with patients in a friendly and polite manner
- Perform other administrative duties as needed, such as registering patients and scheduling appointments
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with EMRs is preferred
