Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Records Clerk at Fresenius Medical Care North America. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling, verifying, and filing medical records of dialysis patients in our facility, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and maintain medical records of in-center and home patients in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Store or dispose of obsolete files according to procedures defined by the Fresenius Medical Care Compliance Records Management department.
  • Prepare hemodialysis records for the following day's activities and store them in a secure location.
  • Chart, post, and file appropriate information per defined procedures.
  • Assist with laboratory work process, including preparing lab slips and tubes for routine and non-routine blood work.
  • Post/enter the results from the labs into the electronic database (Proton/AMI) as needed.
  • Assist in the collection of Patient Statistical Profile and Continuous Quality Improvement Data.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of relevant experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Computer skills, specifically knowledge of word processing applications.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
