Psychiatrist (Physician Specialist) - Correctional Health Services

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist (Physician Specialist) to join our Correctional Health Services team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to individuals incarcerated in the New York City jail system.
Job Summary:Under the supervision of a Senior/Supervising Psychiatrist, you will provide team-based psychiatric services, including psychopharmacologic interventions, to individuals with mental health needs. You will participate in the creation of individualized treatment plans, provide patient education, and document all activities in the electronic medical record.
Responsibilities:- Provide psychiatric care, including admission evaluations, follow-ups, and urgent and emergent consultations
- Participate in the creation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide patient education and aftercare services
- Document all activities in the electronic medical record
- Consult with non-prescribing mental health staff and medical staff
- Participate in team meetings and engage in clinical supervision
- Graduation from an approved medical school
- Completion of approved residency or fellowship in psychiatry
- Five years of experience in the field of psychiatry
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
