Job Title: Hospice Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Employment Type: Full Time
Travel Requirement: North Carolina

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of nursing theories and practices.
  • Ensure meticulous care and documentation that aligns with reimbursement standards.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team to coordinate comprehensive physical care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality reviews as scheduled.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in hospice nursing preferred.

Frequent interaction with the Clinical Manager, Administrator, and Operations Support Technician is expected, along with collaboration with other care team disciplines and external vendors.

Essential Skills

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • A solid understanding of hospice care program frameworks and the nurse's role within the patient care team.
  • Proficiency in nursing principles and practices in accordance with the nursing practice act, agency policies, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with various software applications.
  • High-level problem-solving, critical thinking, and reasoning abilities for patient care planning and resolution.

Willingness to travel as necessary across the hospice service area is required.
