About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy.
  • Store Culture: Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Sales Floor Operations: Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change back to customer according to established operating procedures.
  • Merchandising: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
  • Store Recovery: Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.
  • Teamwork: Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Shrink Reduction: Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Safety Awareness: Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexibility: Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
  • Communication and Organization: Possess strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Multi-Tasking: Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Adaptability: Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Teamwork: Works effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Previous Retail Experience: Retail customer experience preferred.
