Job Overview

The Sawmill Machinery Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our sawmill equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and service mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Operate rigging equipment and use dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
  • Maintain and set up machinery to maximize uptime and efficiency.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner as required.
  • Utilize equipment manuals and schematic drawings to fabricate and repair equipment.
  • Help stock and maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
  • Work safely, constantly monitoring hazardous conditions and risks present in the immediate area, and follow all formal safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Must have knowledge of power transmission machinery/parts, including gear boxes, chains, and bearings, machine setup, and kiln.
  • Ability to be in a stationary position for an extended period.
  • Ability to move and maneuver lumber weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, multitask, and work in a team environment.

We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
