Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Operations Manager to join our team at Brookshires Grocery Company. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department, including managing inventory, scheduling, and training staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies
  • Develop and implement effective scheduling and staffing plans to meet business needs
  • Train and develop bakery staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively
  • Monitor and control labor costs, including overtime and absences
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a bakery or food service management role
  • Proven track record of success in inventory management, scheduling, and staff development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Food safety certification required
