We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with expertise in cloud infrastructure to become an integral part of our innovative team. In this role, you will spearhead the design, development, and upkeep of the cloud infrastructure that powers our advanced navigation solutions. This position demands high-level technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of cloud technologies to guarantee the scalability, reliability, and security of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to the cloud engineering team, steering them in architectural decisions, best practices, and resolving complex challenges.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation: Streamline deployment, configuration, and management processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Cloud Operations and Optimization: Manage daily cloud operations, monitor system performance, and optimize resource utilization while implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud environments comply with security best practices and regulatory requirements, implementing security controls and conducting regular audits.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement solutions for high availability and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity, regularly testing and optimizing recovery plans.
  • Capacity Planning and Scaling: Analyze resource usage trends and forecast capacity needs, developing strategies to scale effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and security, to align cloud infrastructure with business needs, effectively communicating updates and gathering requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and leading initiatives to improve cloud infrastructure.
  • Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Lead efforts during critical incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures, while providing technical support for complex issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in a platform or cloud team supporting mission-critical services and infrastructure in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong grasp of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models, along with cloud-native services and architectures.
Requirements and Experience:
  • Experience in AWS environments, particularly with EKS, IAM, S3, EC2, ECR, ALB/NLB, ASG, KMS, and Route53.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS platforms focusing on ingress, cluster and workload scaling, and high availability.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform/Terragrunt.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes application deployment tools such as Helm and Kustomize.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Bash, Python, and Golang.
  • Experience in developing infrastructure provisioning pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
