Assembly Technician

As an Assembly Technician at L3Harris, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations. This will include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. You will comprehend and interpret technical specifications, terms, and documents to determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. You will also make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and understand description of manufacture (DM, DOM) for operation assembly instruction.
Handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools.
Operate various types of assembly equipment with proper training.
Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to, during, and after assembled.
Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DMs.
Maintain assembly/quality records paperwork as required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in some type of manufacturing environment.
Ability to obtain Security Clearance if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with various types of precision measurement tools and blueprint reading required.
Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.
Ability to sit for long periods of time while working.
