Job Summary

As a key member of our Geotechnical Engineering Section, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for various engineering projects, including dam safety, geotechnical design, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support for geotechnical engineering projects, including dam safety, geotechnical design, and project management.
  • Conduct complex engineering analyses and calculations, either independently or under direction.
  • Develop and administer consultant contracts, prepare project feasibility studies and life cycle cost analyses, and identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Prepare and comprehend construction contract documents, review submittals and RFIs, and prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, operations and maintenance staff, federal and state dam safety regulators, and other agencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited civil or geotechnical engineering curriculum or a California EIT Certificate.
  • Two years of professional civil and/or geotechnical engineering experience, equivalent to two years of experience at EBMUD's Junior Engineer level.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $11,214 per month, increasing to $11,775, $12,364, $12,982, and $13,631 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively. We also offer a flexible/hybrid work from home schedule for some positions in this job classification.
